Mercedes-AMG squad GetSpeed will significantly expand its presence in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS this season with a three-car Endurance Cup effort.
The Nürburgring-based team made its series debut at Misano in 2019 and became a regular at Endurance events the following year. It will retain the Pro-Am car that ran throughout 2021, while this term's programme will include additional Pro and Silver Cup entries.
"In the GT World Challenge, the best teams have been competing at an incredibly high level for years," commented GetSpeed boss Adam Osieka, who was behind the wheel for the team's maiden outing in 2019. "We are very pleased that we can expand our commitment this year," he added.
Though drivers are yet to be announced the team has suggested that only its Silver crew remains incomplete, with a final decision likely to be taken during the official test days at Circuit Paul Ricard (7-8 March). The Endurance Cup campaign kicks off at Imola on 1-3 April before visiting Circuit Paul Ricard (3-5 June), the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa (28-31 July), Hockenheim (2-4 September) and Barcelona (30 September-2 October).
