2025 ENTRY: Team RJN confirms drivers for comeback campaign with McLaren

Team RJN has confirmed the driver line-up for its return to GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS.

The Didcot-based squad was a paddock mainstay between 2011 and 2019, winning the Endurance Cup drivers' title in 2015. Bob Neville's crew were back on the grid at last summer's centenary CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa and will now launch a full Endurance campaign with its McLaren 720S GT3 Evo.

RJN joins an expanded Gold Cup field. The driver line-up is led by Alex Buncombe, an ever-present for the team between 2011 and 2018 and part of the title-winning 2015 effort. He became a factory Bentley driver in 2019 but has since returned to RJN and drove at Spa last term.

His teammates are both new additions to the team. Reece Barr joins RJN after making his GT World Challenge Europe debut last term, driving a Mercedes-AMG in the Sprint Cup. Tommy Foster is a series rookie whose previous experience has been in junior prototype racing.

"I am delighted to welcome Reece and Tommy," said team boss Bob Neville. "They are both very quick and will also benefit from driving alongside Alex who has a massive amount of experience. I know McLaren will be watching their progress with interest.”

Buncombe added: “It’s great to be back in Europe again, I was last there in the Bentley in 2019. The Gold category is incredibly competitive, but we will fight for the championship. The key for us will be another good result in the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.”

The 2025 campaign begins with a six-hour race at Circuit Paul Ricard on 11–13 April. The French track holds happy memories for RJN, with victory in 2015 paving the way for its title success.
