Pure Rxcing will field a pair of works Porsche drivers alongside the ever-present Alex Malykhin in this season's GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup.
Malykhin helped the Lithuanian squad to secure the overall Bronze Cup title in 2023, adding the Sprint crown to cap a stellar debut season. When he was reclassified as a Silver last term the team stepped up to the Pro category, registering points at Circuit Paul Ricard, Spa and Monza.
While its previous Endurance campaigns have seen Malykhin sharing with Klaus Bachler and Joel Sturm, there is significant change this term as Porsche factory drivers Richard Lietz and Thomas Preining join the programme. Bachler has already been confirmed at rival Porsche squad Schumacher CLRT, while Sturm is also expected to be on the grid this year.
Lietz is a hugely experienced Porsche representative whose long list of accomplishments includes an overall CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa win in 2019. Though he has been a regular at the marquee race, this will be Lietz's first full GT World Challenge Europe campaign.
Preining made his series debut in 2020 with GPX Racing and has subsequently driven for Dinamic Motorsport, Rutronik Racing and Phantom Global Racing. He won the DTM title in 2022, but is still searching for his first GT World Challenge Europe victory.
The 2025 campaign begins with a six-hour race at Circuit Paul Ricard on 11–13 April. The French event could draw the biggest season-opening entry list since 2013, when 60 cars were on the grid at Monza.
