Danish squad GMB Motorsport has revealed plans to enter Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS next season with the new Aston Martin Vantage GT3.
Established in 2022, Henrik Lundgaard's outfit has previously competed in the Le Mans Cup, at the Le Mans 24 Hours, and in a number of regional series.
In 2024 it intends to join the Fanatec GT Europe grid with Aston's new-spec Vantage, contesting the full Sprint and Endurance schedule. It is the third team to officially commit to the British car following Comtoyou Racing and Walkenhorst Motorsport.
"We are delighted to be able to continue the good cooperation from last year [with Aston Martin]," said team boss Lundgaard. "With the brand new model, we get a car from the very top shelf, and we have found just the right series with a lot of driving time and development opportunities for our young drivers.
"The series is among the world's best in the GT class, and it gives us good opportunities to build up the team and continue the positive development," he added.
Drivers for the programme are set to be announced in the new year. The 2024 Fanatec GT Europe Prologue takes place at Circuit Paul Ricard on 5/6 March, followed by a season-opening Endurance Cup race at the same venue on 5–7 April and the first Sprint at Brands Hatch on 4–5 May.
