Boutsen VDS is the result of a collaboration between two major players in Belgian motorsport: Boutsen Racing and Marc VDS. This partnership allows them to combine their strengths to experience thrilling races.
Founded in 1999, Boutsen Racing, based in Wavre, Belgium, is a racing team led by Olivier Lainé and Olivia Boutsen, the sister of formula 1 driver Thierry Boutsen. Since its creation, the team has won 16 championship titles and 8 runner-up titles in single-seaters, prototypes, touring cars, and GT racing.
Marc van der Straten is a motorsport enthusiast, known for, among other achievements, winning the 24 hours of Spa in 2015 with the "Marc VDS Racing Team." Everyone also remembers the Vertigo, the Ford Mustang, the Ford GT40, and the Aston Martin prototype that participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2011 under the VDS colors. The Elf Marc VDS Racing Team is also present in Moto 2, WorldSBK, and FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC).
This partnership with the Lainé-Boutsen family allows Marc VDS to reconnect with GT racing and brings the Félin logo back to the racetracks.
