HTP Motorsport has confirmed that the winning trio of this year’s TOTAL 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps – Bernd Schneider (DEU), Maximilian Buhk (DEU) and Maximilian Götz (DEU) will again team up for the Blancpain 1000 at Nürburgring this weekend. They will again drive a Mercedes SLS AMG GT3.
Maximilian Buhk, who was at the wheel in two races in this series, has scored 48 points so far, just two points behind the leaders Ramos/Rigon/Zampieri from Kessel Racing. Therefore, the rapid 20-year old driver still has a good chance to win the Pro Cup drivers title.
As well as their Spa success, the HTP Motorsport team secured a fifth place in their first event at Paul Ricard in June, when Buhk was partnered with Alon Day (ISR) and Luca Ludwig (DEU).
Team manager Norbert Brückner said: “We are highly motivated for the event at Nürburgring. It surely will be an exciting weekend with all these top names on the drivers list. My two ‘Maxis’ (Buhk, Götz) and Bernd are a perfect team, and with the support of our crew we will do our best to perform as well as possible.”
