Much to the joy of the Italian fans, two of their favourite cars topped the timing sheets after the Free Practice session for the Monza round of the 2016 Blancpain GT Series. It was the Pro-Am #34 Scuderia Praha Ferrari that was fastest, with former Italian GT champion Matteo Malucelli clocking a 1'47.972. He was the only driver breaking the 1'48 barrier.
In second was the first of the Lamborghinis, the #16 Grasser Racing Team Huracan of Rolf Ineichen. The Swiss driver was only 0.149 off Malucelli's time, and with no fewer than 20 cars within the same second at the top of the rankings, it is already clear that we're heading for an exciting weekend.
In 20th was the fastest of the Am cars, the #49 AF Corse Ferrari, driven by Alexander Moiseev. The Pre-qualifying session starts at 16.25 and will be streamed live on our website and via the app.
