Liam Talbot made a sensational Monza debut last year, winning the Am Cup category in the 2015 season opener of the Blancpain Endurance Series. Together with Stephen Earle, Marco Zanuttini and Marc Rostan he went on to finish third in the Am Cup of the Total 24 Hours of Spa, and claimed third in the standings of the season. In 2016 the Australian wants to do even better.
“I’m very excited to be in Monza once again", Talbot says with a broad smile. "It’s such a good feeling to be here. This track is very special. Because of the speed we can reach, but also because there is plenty of history here. Taking part in this championship with the Ferrari of Kessel Racing gives me great pleasure."
This year, Talbot will share the wheel of the #888 Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 GT3 with Marco Zanuttini and Vadim Glitin and he is aiming even higher than last year.
"This is only my fourth year of racing, my second in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. I have quite a busy program this season as I’m also racing in the Australian GT Championship. I’m more confident than one year ago: I know the championship, I know the team, I know the tracks… Therefore, my expectations are higher than in 2015. You have to dream big and challenge yourself!”
