The Official Test Days will take place on Wednesday, March 9th and Thursday, March 10th at Circuit Paul Ricard in the South of France. Among the many cars that will lap the circuit, there will be some machines that will get their race debut this season. One of those is the long-awaited Ferrari 488 GT3.
The 488 GT3 might look like its predecessor - the 458 Italia GT3 - from a distance, but the new Prancing Horse is significantly different than the car that took the win in last year's Misano round of the Blancpain GT Series. Its lines are more aggressive and now there is a turbocharged 3.9 litre engine under the hood.
Plenty of potential for the 488 GT3, much to the joy of the teams and the fans that are loyal Ferrari-followers. AF Corse and Kessel Racing will both enter one or several 488 GT3 in the 2016 Blancpain GT Series, and Rinaldi Racing - which fought for the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup title until the last round last year - has decided to make the switch as well. The mean green machine will also be present in the Pro Cup of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, with experienced drivers Norbert Siedler, Marco Seefried and Rinat Salikhov at the wheel.
