Dutch duo Max Van Splunteren and Jeroen Mul will launch an attack on the Blancpain GT Series with a Lamborghini Huracan of Attempto Racing, in the company of Italian ace Davide Valsecchi. Their program was announced at a press conference organised by Lamborghini Leusden, the Dutch importer of the Italian brand.
Van Splunteren and Mul both had their rookie season in the Blancpain GT Series last year, with the latter making a fantastic debut, winning the endurance race in Monza at the wheel of the Grasser Racing Lamborghini. Mul, still a Lamborghini factory driver this year, will again compete in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, sharing the Lamborghini Huracan of German squad Attempto Racing with Van Splunteren and Davide Valsecchi.
29-year old Italian Valsecchi, double GP2-champion and former F1 test driver, will make his Blancpain GT Series debut, both in endurance and sprint. For the short races he will share the Attempto Lamborghini with Max Van Splunteren, who already raced in selected sprint rounds last year, driving an HTP Bentley Continental.
