The season finale of the 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series is upon us next weekend, with the iRacing.com GT500. Time to talk to title candidates, and in our first instalment, we speak with one of the contenders for the Am Cup, Monza class winner Liam Talbot, who will share the #111 Kessel Racing Ferrari with fellow title candidates Stephen Earle and Marco Zanuttini.
“It's a welcome surprise to arrive to the Nürburgring with a chance for victory in the Am Cup Championship”, Talbot says. “With only two years of racing experience I embarked on my first full of year of competition in the 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series with the thought to simply learn and improve.”
“We had a great result on my debut at Monza: I put in 100% and qualified on pole, together with my team-mates we secured the win also. This season has seen some unfortunate luck going our way in rounds 2 and 3, otherwise we would still be leading the championship. We have nothing to lose and will be giving 100% at the Nürburgring. This is a circuit I know really well in both wet and dry conditions, so this gives our team a lot of confidence. I know we will have the race pace, it doesn't matter where we qualify. We are ready for the challenge.”
