Slightly damp conditions for the first session of the opening round of the 2015 Blancpain Sprint Series in Nogaro, but drivers and teams were eager to get their cars going. Newcomer #73 MRS GT Racing Nissan setting the first reference time, with Craig Dolby at the wheel. Fifteen minutes into the session the Audi teams came to the front however, with rookie Robin Frijns clocking a 1’25.381 in his #1 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi, a lap time which is just three tenths of a second shy of last year’s pole position time.
Quickly all of the top-5 positions were filled by Audi R8 LMS ultra, with the #6 Phoenix being squeezed in 3rd by the four Belgian Audi Club Team WRT machines. In the end, the #55 Attempto Racing McLaren ended up in sixth. The quickest time in Pro-Am went to the #911 Fach Auto Tech Porsche, the #74 ISR Audi proved to be the best in Silver Cup.
