Last year’s Silver Cup winner Vincent Abril will compete in all twelve events of the 2015 Blancpain GT Series at the wheel of a Bentley Continental GT3 of Bentley Team HTP. In the Blancpain Sprint Series he will share the car with Maximilian Buhk, in the endurance races his team-mates will be Mike Parisy and Harold Primat.
Vincent Abril is probably the best example of a young driver climbing up the ranks of the GT racing, by showing his talent in the different Cups of the Blancpain GT Series. After having made his debut in the French round of the 2013 Blancpain Endurance Series, the 20-year-old Frenchman switched to the Blancpain Sprint Series last year. Together with Mateusz Lisowski he won the Silver Cup, reserved for Silver drivers of 25 or younger. This performance landed him behind the wheel of the Bentley Team HTP Continental GT3 for the complete 2015 Blancpain GT Series.
Vincent Abril (Bentley Team HTP): “Winning the Silver Cup was an important step for me. I have learned a lot last year. Together with Maxi I think we will form a great team and I can’t wait to be at the start of the Nogaro race, on a track that has smiled on me in the past. The Blancpain Endurance Series is a complete new kettle of fish for me, even though I did one race in 2013. But Mike Parisy and Harold Primat have plenty of experience in the Series, as does Bentley Team HTP, so I am sure we can do a good job. I am really looking forward to participating in the Total 24 Hours of Spa as well!”
