The BMW Sports Trophy Team Brazil, 4th in the 2014 Blancpain Sprint Series and overall Blancpain GT Series team classifications, intends to increase its activities next year, by entering the Blancpain Endurance Series as well. It will promote the yellow-and-green squad to one of the contenders for the overall Blancpain GT Series team title.
With four podium finishes and several outstanding performances the Z4’s of the BMW Sports Trophy Team Brazil were one of the revelations of the 2014 Blancpain Sprint Series. Now, the Brazilian squad wants to build on this positive experience and extend its activities in the Blancpain GT Series. Next year should see two of their cars on the starting grid of the Endurance races as well, so the chances of seeing the BMW Sports Trophy Team Brazil among the frontrunners in the overall Blancpain GT Series team classification will increase significantly.
Antonio Hermann, team principal: “In 2014, we earned the respect of the other teams through our performances. We lacked some luck to win a race, but I believe that if we can bring this project to its full maturity in 2015, we should be able to fight for the title. Next year, we will be in the Blancpain Endurance Series as well. Twelve race weekends instead of seven, with two cars. I am certain we will be even stronger and more competitive than in 2014.”
