Tickets are now on sale for the season-closing GT World Challenge powered by AWS round at Portimão, which takes place on 16–18 October.
A stacked field of around 60 cars featuring 10 manufacturers will contest the three-hour race on Saturday evening. Fans can look forward to seeing spectacular machinery from Audi, Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ford, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche, all with high-powered race models.
The star-studded grid includes world-famous drivers such as Valentino Rossi, while Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing is among the teams that will compete for victory. Fans can expect just as much entertainment off the circuit. GT World operates an open paddock, giving the public a chance to meet the stars during an autograph session and see the teams up close during a pit walk.
They can also take advantage of a fan zone which includes food and drinks options, merchandise stalls, displays, and live music from a DJ. All of these activities are included within the prize of a general admission ticket. A full weeknd pass (Friday to Sunday) costs just 25€, while a Saturday ticket (which includes the main race) costs only 15€. In each case, kids aged 16 and under can attend for free.
The three-hour Endurance Cup race will settle this year's titles in all four classes, so expect plenty of twists and turns on the 4.7km circuit. The action begins at 17:00 on Saturday evening and runs through sunset, with the final chequered flag of the season scheduled for 20:00.
As well as the deciding GT World Challenge round, there will also be a full line-up of support series at Portimão. This promises to be a festival of GT racing, with the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli, GT4 European Series and McLaren Trophy Europe all set to crown their champions in Portugal. In total, the event will comprise more than eight hours of racing.
