GetSpeed Team Dubai kicked off this weekend's Sprint Cup event at Misano by setting the quickest time in Free Practice 1. The #12 Mercedes-AMG – which competes in the Bronze Cup class – topped the session thanks to pro driver Fabian Schiller.
Schiller's best effort of 1m32.868s put the German more than three tenths clear of Charles Weerts, who was unsurprisingly rapid in the #32 Team WRT BMW. An eight-time winner at Misano, Weerts is among the leading contenders for victory this weekend.

P3 overall went to the #66 Tresor Attempto Racing Audi, which led the way in the Silver Cup classification. Andrea Frassineti was also three tenths adrift of the overall benchmark. Winward Racing placed fourth and fifth with the #87 Mercedes-AMG of Marvin Dienst edging the sister #48 car of Lucas Auer.
The Gold Cup pacesetter was 17th overall, with Tommaso Mosca posting a 1m33.528s in the #51 AF Corse Ferrari. The top 25 cars were within a second of each other, while 1.7 seconds covered the entire 43-car field.
There were no meaningful stoppages during the session, which ran from 14:50 until 16:30. Cars will be back on-track at 20:10 for another 80-minute session. Live coverage begins tomorrow with Qualifying 1 at 13:05, followed by Race 1 at 20:30.
