2025 ENTRY: Lamborghini factory trio spearhead two-car VSR programme

Lamborghini squad VSR returns to GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS this season with a two-car Endurance Cup assault.

Vincenzo Sospiri's team was absent last term, instead enjoying a successful GT World Challenge Asia campaign which produced race wins at Sepang, Fuji and Okayama. It will return to the European paddock in 2025 with a Pro car featuring three leading Lamborghini factory drivers, as well as a Silver Cup entry.

The Pro line-up consists of Marco Mapelli, Sandy Mitchell and Franck Perera. The same trio represented K-Pax Racing in 2023, while Mapelli and Perera finished as Endurance Cup runners-up last term with Grasser Racing. The #163 machine will be backed by Agrati Performance and their Tokbo brand.

The Silver Cup car combines three experienced campaigners in Michele Beretta, Alessio Deledda and Finlay Hutchinson. Beretta is a former class winner at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, while Deledda has raced at a high level in single-seaters and GTs. Hutchison returns to the series after a one-year break having been a regular between 2019 and 2023.

"The GT World Challenge Endurance Cup is one of the toughest GT championships in the world," said team principal Vincenzo Sospiri. "I’m proud to have two cars on the grid in this very competitive series and look forward to my team and drivers taking on the challenge of racing against the very best. As always a huge thank you to Lamborghini Squadra Corse for their support."

The 2025 Endurance Cup season gets underway next weekend (12/13 April) with a six-hour race at Circuit Paul Ricard
