Garage 59 has confirmed plans to run multiple McLaren 720S GT3 Evo entries this term, with three cars in Endurance and two in Sprint. The British squad made the announcement as pre-season testing got underway at Circuit Paul Ricard.
Factory drivers Marvin Kirchhöfer and Benjamin Goethe will be on full-season duties aboard the #59 entry, which will compete for overall honours in the Pro class. They will be joined by highly regarded newcomer Joseph Loake in the Endurance Cup.
Loake makes the leap to GT racing after climbing the single-seater ladder to FIA F3 level. He comes with excellent credentials: the 19-year-old won the prestigious Autosport BRDC Award in 2023, and his development this year alongside Kirchhöfer and Goethe will be worth watching closely.
The #188 McLaren remains in the Bronze Cup class with Miguel Ramos as the only continuing driver. The Portuguese, who is among the fastest and most experienced Bronze-graded competitors in the series, will be joined by Guilherme Oliveira and Tom Fleming.
Oliveira moves across from Porsche squad Dinamic GT, with whom he entered last season's Endurance Cup. Fleming, meanwhile, arrives from AF Corse, having impressed last year in his debut Sprint campaign. This car will compete solely in Endurance.
Finally, the #58 McLaren is a new addition to the Gold Cup field, though its drivers are all well known to Garage 59. Louis Prette and Adam Smalley move across from the #188 entry in which both drivers were impressive last term. They will form the full-season line-up aboard the #58 machine.
Dean MacDonald will join them at Endurance Cup rounds, switching from the Pro car. The Scotsman made his series debut with Garage 59 in 2022 before racing with JP Motorsport and Optimum Motorsport in 2023, taking Gold class victory at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa with the latter.
Garage 59 will reveal its 2025 liveries ahead of the opening Endurance Cup race, which takes place at Circuit Paul Ricard on 11–13 April. The Sprint Cup begins at Brands Hatch on 3/4 May.
