2025 ENTRY: Rinaldi signs Ferrari factory ace Rigon to partner Hook and Perel

2025 ENTRY: Rinaldi signs Ferrari factory ace Rigon to partner Hook and Perel

Rinaldi Racing has bolstered its line-up for 2025 by adding Ferrari factory driver Davide Rigon to its Bronze class crew. The Italian ace joins the continuing Christian Hook and David Perel aboard the German squad's 296 GT3.

Rigon represents a stellar addition for Rinaldi. The 38-year-old Italian has been part of Ferrari's GT World Challenge Europe programme since as far back as 2012 and has lost none of his speed. Last term he was instrumental in helping AF Corse to clinch a teams' and drivers' title double in the Endurance Cup and was part of the crew that lost overall victory at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa in heartbreaking fashion.

He joins a pair of Rinaldi stalwarts for the 2025 campaign. Hook returned to GT World Challenge Europe last term following a three-year absence, having made his debut in 2016 at the wheel of a Ferrari 458. He is back for another crack at glory this term after his 2024 was derailed by an accident at Spa, which forced the German to miss his home event at the Nürburgring.

He will again be joined by Perel, who has become a staple Silver-graded driver in Ferrari line-ups around the world. Among his achievements, the South African won the 2017 24 Hours of Spa in the Am class with Kessel Racing and then bagged Pro-Am honours with Rinaldi the following year.

As in 2024, the car will be backed by Data Lab. There is a change in number, however, with Rinaldi swapping its familiar #333 for #12. The team will head to Circuit Paul Ricard next week (10/11 March) for the official season Prologue.
