2025 ENTRY: Ferrari doubles down as AF Corse confirms two full-season Pro cars

AF Corse Francorchamps Motors will launch its biggest-ever assault on the overall GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS title this year with a pair of Pro cars set to contest Sprint and Endurance.

The #51 Ferrari will defend its Endurance Cup drivers' crown with reigning champions Alessandro Pier Guidi and Alessio Rovera both retained. They will be joined by Vincent Abril, who moves from the sister car after delivering an impressive 2024 campaign for AF Corse.

The #51 will also compete for the Sprint Cup title with Rovera and Abril at the controls. This will mark the first time since 2016 that AF Corse has run a Pro car in the short-format series.

The #50 Ferrari has a new-look line-up this term. Arthur Leclerc will take the next step in his sportscar racing career by running the full campaign, with Antonio Fuoco and Eliseo Donno joining the young Monegasque in Endurance. The former returns to the series following a one-year absence, while the latter graduates from a successful Sprint Cup debut with AF Corse in 2024. Thomas Neubauer will partner Leclerc in Sprint.

AF Corse won the 2024 Endurance Cup crown with Pier Guidi and Rovera, giving the Ferrari 296 GT3 a major honour in only its second year of competition. They were joined at four of the five events by Maranello stalwart Davide Rigon, while Abril subbed for the Italian at Monza.

This was Pier Guidi's third title and went some way to making up for the team's heartbreak at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa. The crew of Pier Guidi/Rovera/Rigon had been on the way to a commanding win only to be blocked at the final pit stop by a broken down car.

The 2025 campaign will officially launch with the traditional Prologue at Circuit Paul Ricard on 10–11 March. The same venue will host the season-opening Endurance Cup race on 11–13 April, while the Sprint schedule begins at Brands Hatch on 3/4 May.
