Madpanda Motorsport commits to full-season Fanatec GT Europe programme with Mercedes-AMG

Madpanda Motorsport has become the latest team to commit to a Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS programme in 2024, confirming that its Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO will contest the full 10-round championship.

Established by experienced GT racer Ezequiel Companc ahead of the 2020 campaign, the Barcelona-based squad has quickly developed a reputation as a fan favourite. It has become known for its distinctive liveries and for naming each of its cars: the current Mercedes-AMG is Sakura, which was preceded by Malena and Marga.

It was quick to find success on the track, too, winning the combined Silver Cup teams' and drivers' titles in 2020 before securing a masterful class triumph at the 2021 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa. Last season saw Madpanda finish as runner-up in the combined Silver standings, earning podiums at Monza, Misano, Hockenhim and Zandvoort.

For its fifth season, the team will remain in the Silver class to undertake another full schedule that combines both the Sprint Cup and Endurance Cup. Drivers are yet to be finalised, and potential candidates are encouraged to contact the team at epcompanc@madpandamotorsport.com.

"We're thrilled to be once again part of the Fanatec GT World Challenge family," commented team principal Ezequiel Companc, who has been an ever-present in the team's driver line-up since 2020.

"We are in a new stage of the team, having moved to a new workshop and with a new classics department. We have placed our objectives bar high coming into 2024, and we are eager to put on track all that’s been worked on throughout the winter break."

The 2024 Fanatec GT Europe season launches with the traditional Prologue at Circuit Paul Ricard on 5/6 March, followed by the opening Endurance Cup race at the same venue on 5–7 April and the first Sprint contest at Brands Hatch on 4–5 May.
