SRO Motorsports Group will launch its European season in spectacular style on 6/7 April when a trio of high-level GT series, as well as further support action and a pair of esports races, signal the start of the 2024 campaign at Circuit Paul Ricard.
Tickets are now on sale for this eagerly anticipated event, with a weekend pass (Saturday and Sunday) including paddock access costing just €20. It promises to be exceptional value for money, with eight hours of competitive action set to unfold on the 5.8-kilometre track.
Circuit Paul Ricard has a new place on the calendar this year, shifting from its familiar June date to become the season opener. As ever the headline act will be Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS, which maintains an annual tradition stretching back to 2012.
Firmly established as the continent's most competitive GT3 championship, the series features a mouth-watering array of supercars from the world's most prestigious manufacturers. A three-hour Endurance Cup race will kick off the new campaign, with upwards of 50 entries expected to do battle at the French venue.
The Fanatec GT2 European Series Powered by Pirelli will also be in attendance with its line-up of high-powered machinery. Following on from a 2023 campaign that delivered down-to-the-wire battles for both the Pro-Am and Am class titles, a pair of 50-minute races will launch its fourth season of competition.
For sheer drama, it is difficult to beat the GT4 European Series Powered by RAFA Racing Club. Featuring cars more closely aligned to their road-going equivalents, the action comes thick and fast in this popular multi-class championship. Fans can look forward to two 60-minute races at Circuit Paul Ricard.
And that's not all. Further support action comes from the Mitjet series, which will bring its gird of silhouette machines to contest a quartet of quick-fire races. There will also be virtual competition in the paddock courtesy of the Fanatec Esports GT Pro Series and the SRO Esports Sim Pro Series, which fans can watch unfold in the Fanatec Arena.
In addition to weekend passes, Sunday-only tickets are available for €15 and also include access to the paddock, while under-16s can attend free of charge with a paying adult. With so much action on-track and plenty more to experience around the venue, it’s the ideal way to kick-start the 2024 season.
