Tickets are now on sale for the season-opening Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS round at Imola. Scheduled for 1-3 April, track action will begin on Friday and continues through to the season-opening three-hour race on Sunday afternoon.
The three-hour Endurance Cup race will represent a popular return to the Emilia-Romagna venue, which first staged the series in 2020. Officially known as Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, the 4.9km anti-clockwise circuit lies on the outskirts of Imola town and combines a fast, flowing layout with considerable motorsport heritage.
The entry list for this year's event will feature a familiar line-up of major brands, with Italian marques Ferrari and Lamborghini set to go up against international manufacturers such as Aston Martin, Audi, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche. Among a star-studded grid of drivers, the event will see motorcycle racing legend Valentino Rossi make his first competitive outing at Imola in more than two decades as he begins a new career on four wheels.
A packed support schedule includes the Fanatec GT2 European Series, Lamborghini Super Trofeo and GT4 European Series, with each set to stage a pair of races at Imola, while the weekend also features a sim racing element thanks to the Fanatec Esports GT Pro Series.
Tickets currently on sale for 2022 events, including Imola, can be found here.
