Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe will continue its longstanding partnership with SRO Motorsports Group next year, with five of the championship's six events set to run alongside Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS.
The 2022 season will be the 12th in succession that the popular one-make category has joined the continent's premier GT3 series at multiple rounds and will see the new Lamborghini Super Trofeo EVO2 make its competitive debut. It will retain its familiar weekend format, with two 50-minute races playing out at each event.
The new car will get its first outing at Monza (8-10 April) alongside the opening round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup. Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe will also be present for the second Endurance contest at Circuit Paul Ricard (2-4 June) before making its only appearance on a Sprint Cup weekend at Misano (1-3 July).
The series will maintain its place on the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa support bill (28-30 July) before travelling to Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (30 September/2 October), which is set to host the 2022 Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS finale. As ever, Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe will conclude at the marque's annual World Finals, with the date and venue for 2022 set to be confirmed at this year's edition (28-29 October).
Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS revealed its 2022 calendar last weekend, retaining a largely unchanged schedule split equally between the Endurance Cup and Sprint Cup formats. For more information, please click here.
