Toksport WRT kept Mercedes-AMG machinery on top at the Nürburgring thanks to a 1m54.811s from Marvin Dienst in Pre-Qualifying.
The Silver Cup squad produced an excellent showing to lead overall after 90 minutes of running, edging fellow Mercedes squad HRT. Luca Stolz was at the wheel for the 1m55.033s lap as the Meuspath team remained among front-runners.
Arthur Rougier broke the German marque's dominance by posting the third-quickest lap in the #114 Emil Frey Racing Lamborghini, but another AMG GT3 occupied third position courtesy of GetSpeed. Jim Pla ensured that the #2 car once again topped the Pro-Am classification thanks to a 1m55.134s.
While Mercedes-AMG occupied three of the top-four places there was a greater variety of machinery behind, with Aston Martin (Oman Racing), Audi (Sainteloc and Attempto) and Ferrari (Rinaldi Racing) were all among the overall top-10. There was a notable absentee among the front-runners, with the #88 AKKA ASP Mercedes-AMG that topped this morning's Free Practice session finishing 14th.
Pre-Qualifying ran without any incidents of note, allowing teams to prepare for a busy Sunday.
