Alvaro Parente, Grégoire Demoustier and Alexandre Premat dominated the first round of the 2014 Blancpain Endurance Series with their ART Grand Prix McLaren. During the three hour race their win was never really threatened. Stéphane Ortelli took second position in the Sainteloc Audi right after the first wave of pitstops, and Gregory Guilvert held on to the position. The second ART Grand Prix McLaren, driven by Andy Soucek in the final stint, resisted pressure from Laurens Vanthoor in the Belgian Audi Club Team WRT in the closing laps.
In the Pro-Am category, the Ferrari’s of Kessel Racing and GT Corse by Rinaldi dominated the opening hour, even running second and third overall, but contact with other cars made them drop out of the race later on. The BMW of Italian team Roal Motorsport had a faultless race however, taking a clear win while finishing 6th overall as well. In the Gentlemen Trophy the GT Corse by Rinaldi Ferrari of Pierre Ehret, Frank Schmikler and Alexander Mattschull lead from start to finish.
