Since its formation in 2009, Belgian Audi Club Team WRT has established itself as a powerhouse of global GT racing.
Synonymous with the Audi brand, the Baudour-based squad built this reputation in what is now GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS, earning unprecedented success in both Sprint and Endurance racing. It also holds the distinction of being the only team to participate in every event staged since the formation of series in 2011, competing at some 80 successive race weekends across the continent.
During this period the Belgian squad has amassed an astonishing 18 overall teams' and drivers' titles, as well as outright victories at the Total 24 Hours of Spa in 2011 and 2014. The Sprint Cup has been a particularly happy hunting ground, with WRT capturing six straight teams' championships between 2014 and 2019.
On-track, the team's rollcall of drivers has included leading Audi factory racers and a number of emerging Belgian talents. Its most famous names include champions Laurens Vanthoor, Robin Frijns and Chris Mies, the latter competing with WRT at least once in 10 successive seasons. The team's pit wall also features a number of successful former racers, such as Total 24 Hours of Spa winners Vincent Vosse, Thierry Tassin and Pierre Dieudonne.
The 2020 season will see WRT continue to field multiple Audi R8 LMS entries in both the Endurance and Sprint Cups, while looking to return to the top step of the podium at the Total 24 Hours of Spa.
