Since its formation in 2002, German squad Toksport WRT has undertaken a wide range of programmes across the globe. This season, the team makes its GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS debut with a pair of Sprint Cup entries.
Based on the doorstep of the Nürburgring, the squad's full name – Toksport World Rally Team – hints at its varied competitive history, which includes the premier World Rally Championship and a variety of regional series across the globe.
Toksport's on-track endeavours have included stints in touring cars, one-make Porsche racing and GT championships. 2020 represents the first time that it has contested GT World Challenge Europe, with a pair of Mercedes-AMG GT3s competing for Silver Cup honours at Sprint events. Its #2 car consists of youngsters Oscar Tunjo and Juuso Puhakka, while Kris Heidorn and Robin Rogalski drive the #6 machine.
Away from the circuit, the team will also contest the World Rally Championship and European Rally Championship this term using the Skoda Fabia R5 Evo.
