Formed in 2006 by Jim Haughey and Bob Raub, K-PAX Racing started out entering cars in Pirelli World Challenge (now GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS). Success quickly followed, with Randy Pobst earning a hat-trick of drivers' titles in 2007, 2008 and 2010.
The team has worked with a variety of manufacturers, initially running Porsches before moving on to Volvo and then, in 2014, linking up with McLaren. Its maiden triumph with the British brand came at the conclusion of that season and, in 2016, accomplished international racer Alvaro Parente took six wins to secure K-PAX another drivers' title.
A further manufacturer switch followed in 2018 when K-PAX linked up with Bentley. At the same time, factory drivers Andy Soucek and Maxime Soulet joined Parente and Rodrigo Baptista in a strengthened line-up. More race wins followed and in 2019 K-PAX was crowned teams' champion, while the piairing of Parente and Soucek finished second in the drivers' standings.
2020 marks the team's most ambitious project yet. K-PAX has launched a two-car GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup assault, with Soucek, Parente, Soulet and Baptista joined by factory drivers Jules Gounon and Jordan Pepper to form an all-star line-up. The programme is managed by Darren Law, an accomplished racer and past Daytona 24 Hours winner, while a sattelite base has been established at Hellenthal in Germany.
