GetSpeed Performance has launched its first GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS assault this season. The German squad arrives with lofty ambitions, assigning a full-pro crew to its Mercedes-AMG GT3 for the Endurance Cup.
Based at Meauspath on the doorstep of the Nürburgring, GetSpeed undertakes a number of motorsport-related activities, including a 'race taxi' service and car rental opportunities at the Nordscheliffe. Its competition department was founded in 2013 and made its GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS debut in 2019. On that occasion team principal Adam Osieka partnered Denis Remenyako in a Mercedes-AMG, competing for Am Cup honours at Misano.
Remenyako also drove for the team in the Blancpain GT Sports Club event at Spa, which formed part of SRO Speedweek. It was to prove a successful outing for GetSpeed, with Remenyako taking runner-up spot in the opening race and then sweeping to a dominant win in the second contest.
GetSpeed has taken a major step forward this year, entering a full-pro line-up consisting of Maxi Buhk, Fabian Schiller and Alessio Lorandi in the Endurance Cup. In Buhk, the squad has a past Total 24 Hours of Spa winner and series champion, adding crucial experience to the fledgling effort.
