ROWE Racing has confirmed its driver line-up for the 2020 GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS campaign.
The German squad is entering its second season fielding a Porsche 911 GT3-R after making a successful switch from BMW equipment last term. Hans-Peter Naundorf's team finished an impressive third in the Endurance Cup standings, scoring points at each round at finishing second overall at the Total 24 Hours of Spa.
ROWE will field a single 911 GT3-R this year, with only Porsche factory ace Dirk Werner continuing on the driver front. He will be joined by Porsche Young Professional Julien Andlauer, who last year captured the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany title. Their crew will be completed by former Young Professional Klaus Bachler, who impressed as part of Dinamic Motorsport's fledgling squad in 2019.
ROWE will once again focus its efforts on the Endurance Cup in 2020. The new season will kick off at Imola on 25-26 July, followed by the squad's home race at the Nurburgring (5-6 September), which this year expands to a six-hour format. The marquee Total 24 Hours of Spa follows on 22-25 October, after which the season climaxes with a six-hour contest at Circuit Paul Ricard (13-15 November).
In particular, ROWE will hope to extend a fine run of form at Spa when the race celebrates its 20th edition as a GT contest. The team has finished as runner-up in the past two seasons and clinched overall victory in 2016.
