One of the confirmed driver pairings will be Greg Franchi (BEL), Frank Kechele (DEU) and reigning Italian GT champion, Stefano Colombo (I). Line-ups for the remaining two entries will be confirmed on the run up to the Monza race on April 14.
“We have a committed focus on a trio of entries from the Blancpain Endurance Series this season,” stated Bartels, who was speaking from the Nogaro FIA GT Series paddock today. “Our aims and objectives are to fight for the title and starting at Monza, with our new driver Stefano Colombo confirmed, we will begin the basis of fighting for the title that we have won once before in 2011. The team is going to be super motivated again this year for the Blancpain Endurance Series and of course the 24 Hours of Spa, which is the highlight of the season for everyone. ”
With an enhanced technical package and a pool of talented drivers, Bartels is also planning to be at the second FIA GT Series race at Zolder on 20/21 April. “Our main focus will be on the Blancpain Endurance Series campaign but we have a strong intention to be at Zolder for the new FIA GT Series, which looks increasingly strong and suits our competitive instincts. We aim to bring at least one Vita4one Racing BMW Z4 performance car to Belgium to challenge the great grid of cars already assembled there.”
Bartels was at Nogaro today overseeing the Team BMW India car which Vita4one Racing is supporting technically this weekend.
