GPX Racing will field a pair of Porsche 911 GT3 R machines in this year's GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup as the Dubai-based squad looks to build on a breakout 2019 season.
GPX scored a sensational overall win at last year's Total 24 Hours of Spa in what was its maiden outing in the top class. The team entered a Silver Cup car at the remaining four rounds of the 2019 campaign and will now step up to run two overall contenders.
The squad's #40 machine will be led by double Total 24 Hours of Spa winner Romain Dumas. The Frenchman will be joined by reigning Intercontinental GT Challenge drivers' champion Dennis Olsen and rising Porsche star Thomas Preining.
Patrick Pilet, Mathieu Jaminet and Matt Campbell will share the #12 car. All have Endurance Cup experience, while long-time Porsche factory ace Pilet is a three-time Total 24 Hours of Spa podium finisher.
GPX has also revealed plans to enter a single car at the three Intercontinental GT Challenge rounds that follow Spa, with driver line-ups for this programme to be revealed at a later date.
The squad's next on-track engagement will be the GT World Challenge Europe test days at Circuit Paul Ricard (12-13 March). The Endurance Cup campaign begins with a three-hour Endurance event at Monza on 17-19 April.
