Tickets for the 2020 Total 24 Hours of Spa are now on general sale, launching the countdown to what will be a landmark edition of the world's biggest GT race.
First staged in 1924 and running continuously since 1964, the Total 24 Hours of Spa combines a unique sense of history with the unparalleled sporting challenge presented by modern-day Spa-Francorchamps
Since adopting GT rules in 2001 the race has firmly established itself as a key fixture on the international motorsport calendar and today represents the marquee event of both GT World Challenge Europe (formerly the Blancpain GT Series) and the Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli.
Next year's edition will see the Total 24 Hours of Spa celebrate its 20th running as a GT contest, as well as its 10th using the globally successful GT3 platform. It will follow a record-setting 2019 event that saw an incredible 72 cars take the start, culminating in a masterful victory for Porsche ahead of fierce rivals Mercedes-AMG and Audi.
This high standard of competition has become the norm at the Ardennes venue, with the world’s best GT teams and drivers representing a roll call of prestigious automotive brands. As such, it has become an unmissable sporting spectacle and a must-attend event for racing aficionados.
But while Spa is famed for its wealth of on-track action, the unique appeal of the 24 Hours is the entertainment that can be found off the circuit. Central to this is the Total 24 Hours of Spa Fan Zone. Located at the bottom of Raidillon, the Fan Zone features simulators, historic racing machinery, merchandising stalls, food and drink stands and much more.
The entertainment does not take a back seat once the race is underway. The annual Saturday evening concert has become an immensely popular event of its own, featuring major names from the European music scene who take the party deep into the night. With such a diverse line-up of entertainment on offer, there is something to suit all ages and interests.
There will also be significant support action during the build-up to the 24 Hours, including the ultra-competitive GT4 European Series, prestigious junior category Formula Renault Eurocup, the spectacular Lamborghini Super Trofeo and the new GT2 Sports Club Europe championship. Fans will also have the opportunity to see the stars and their cars in person at the annual parade to Spa town centre. Open to attend free of charge, this will feature every entrant contesting the 2020 race and culminate with a full-field autograph session.
In addition to general admission tickets, a special Christmas offer for Total 24 Hours of Spa gridwalk passes has been launched. Normally unavailable for purchase, these will allow fans to sample the competitive atmosphere up close just moments before the race gets underway. Passes are on sale now for 70€ (VATex) as part of a limited-time-only festive deal.
With so much to see and do at this world-famous circuit, a 2020 Total 24 Hours of Spa ticket offers tremendous value – and the ideal Christmas gift for every race fan.
