Attempto Racing announces their two car Blancpain GT Series attack for the 2019 season. Attempto Racing will enter two Audi R8 GT3 Evo cars in the full Blancpain GT Series 2019.
In the Blancpain GT World Challenge (Sprintcup) , the no. 55 car will be driven by Australian Nick Foster and returning GT ace Dutchmen Steijn Schothorst. The no. 66 car will be driven by Audi Sports driver Kelvin van der Linde (SA) and the experienced Clemens Schmid (Ge.) . Van der Linde and Schmid will be joined in their Endurance Cup campaign by Nick Foster. Steijn Schothorst will stay on the no 55 car and will be joined by his experienced brother Pieter Schothorst and newly recruited Audi Sports driver Mattia Drudi during the Blancpain Endurance events. . The no. 55 car with its full Silver driver line-up will be a serious contender for the highly competitive Blancpain Silver Cup title.

As an underdog last year we’ve shown our potential with several podium finishes. This year, we want to continue this line though we realize the competition will be very fierce.”
Steijn Schothorst: “Last season was my first full season in GT racing and together with Kelvin van der Linde and the whole Attempto squad we’ve rocked the boat by starting our campaign with a surprise win in Zolder. For this year we hope to fight for podiums again. . I’ve enjoyed every single day with Attempto Racing so I’m very happy to be back here. I look forward sharing the car with passionate and talented racers as Nick Foster, Mattia Druide and of course my brother Pieter.
The Blancpain GT Series will start its season with the first round of the Endurance Cup in Monza for a 3hour race 13thand 14thof April. Afterwards the series will go to, Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Paul Ricard, Misano, Zandvoort, Spa Francorchamps, Nürburgring, Hungaroring and Barcelona.
