Two new teams will join the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup next season, with both set to campaign the 2019-spec Porsche 911 GT3 R across the five-round championship.
This follows Porsche’s recent confirmation that it will expand its own factory-backed Pro class effort to two cars next term, bolstering the brand’s representation in the Endurance Cup and at the Total 24 Hours of Spa.
Italian outfit Dinamic Motorsport will tackle the Pro class, with its entry continuing a long-standing relationship with the Stuttgart marque. Dinamic has run Porsche machinery in domestic and international one-make series in recent years, with Gianmarco Quaresmini securing the Italian title for the team in 2018.
Dinamic will run a to-be-confirmed trio of drivers in its 911 GT3 next term. A spokesperson for the team confirmed to Sportscar365 that one of these will be “selected by” Porsche, with the other two chosen internally.
GPX Racing will add a Porsche 911 GT3 R to the Silver Cup field at Endurance rounds in 2019. The team will take delivery of its new car in February, two months prior to the season-opening race at Monza.
The Dubai-based outfit has prior experience of long-distance racing and will now expand to a European programme with an as-yet unannounced crew of drivers.
Alongside the already-announced two-car Porsche factory programme, this brings the total number of 911 GT3s confirmed for full-season Endurance Cup campaigns to four.
