Maxime Martin, #3 Marc VDS Racing Team BMW Z4 (PRO)
“It was tough because I got blocked by a McLaren (Von Ryan) for a long-time. It was quick in the straight and very difficult to pass. I had to wait until it went in to the pits to really attack. I had some luck in traffic but it came good in the end. It is great to have this result just before Spa and the team really deserves it.”
Bas Leinders, #3 Marc VDS Racing Team, BMW Z4 (PRO)
“We struggled a little bit with tyre pressures during the first stints and we adjusted them for when Max got in the car. Although we lacked in power on the straights we were good on the brakes and through the slower corners. The whole Marc VDS Racing Team did a great job. Max did a wonderful lap in qualifying and we won a tough race which makes it more satisfying for us.”
Frédéric Vervisch, #5 Boutsen-Ginion McLaren MP4-12C (PRO-AM)
“We were only two drivers in the car for this race because we found out that Koen (Wouters) would not be able to race this weekend very late and we could not find someone to replace him. The McLaren was good here, and we are very happy to win our first PRO-AM race. This is even better because my team mate David (Dermont) had to do a double stint and he did a great job.”
Patrice Goueslard, #20 SOFREV-ASP Ferrari 458 Italia (GENT)
“Jean-Luc Blanchemain did the start, it was not easy for him because he comes from the Dakar and it is his first season of circuit racing with us. But he did all the starts so far and is very good. After, he pushed during one hour and when I took the wheel we were comfortably ahead of 2nd place. We managed our tyres well, and we are leading the series in class so everything is good. I think Ferraris and BMWs were good this weekend. It is not easy to race among so many cars but our engineer tells us what is happening on the track and we are able to manage the race pretty well like that.”
