Dries Vanthoor proved to be fastest in the qualifying session for the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup finale at the Nürburgring. The young Belgian in the #5 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT R8 was 0.122 quicker than the #59 Strakka Racing McLaren of Rob Bell, with the #19 Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini of Andrea Caldarelli in third. Fastest of the Pro-Am drivers was Daniel Keilwitz in the #333 Rinaldi Racing Ferrari, with the Silver Cup pole going to Max Van Splunteren in the #66 Attempto Racing Lamborghini.
