In our fifth stop on the tour of the Blancpain Endurance Series title candidates we spoke with Bentley Boy Steven Kane. Together with team-mates Andy Meyrick and Guy Smith the driver of the #7 Bentley M-Sport still has a shot a the crown and even though they do not have their championship fate in their own hands – they have to make up a 15-point deficit – the trio is looking for a major result at the Nürburgring.
"It has been a good second season for us at Bentley M-Sport”, says Steven Kane. “We have always had the speed but not always the luck. I think we have proved to be major contenders at a variety of tracks and we have all moved up a level in 2015. Going in to this weekend we are quietly confident. We know that as a team we have all the attributes to have a really strong weekend. Of course the opposition is tough, it always is in the Blancpain Endurance Series.”
"It would mean so much to me if I could be champion, but more importantly it would be a collective experience between all of us at Bentley M-Sport. All the team would deserve it 100%. Now we just have to focus, keep our heads down and do what we do best - which is to race as hard as possible and to try and make it happen."
