Kessel Racing confirms Fanatec GT Europe return with Ferrari

Kessel Racing will return to the Fanatec GT Europe Endurance Cup grid in 2024, fielding at least one Ferrari 296 GT3 in the long-distance championship.

Ronnie Kessel's squad has a long association with the series, making its debut in 2014 and subsequently earning titles in Pro-Am and the Am Cup, as well as a pair of CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa wins in the latter class.

It will take on a new challenge this year, joining the highly competitive Bronze Cup field with the crew of Nicolò Rosi, Niccolò Schirò and David Fumanelli. A second entry is also possible for the Swiss outfit.

Rosi is set for his series debut having previously represented Kessel in Ferrari Challenge and the International GT Open. He will continue his partnership with Schirò, whose sole Fanatec GT Europe start was at the 2016 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.

The line-up is completed by the experienced Fumanelli, who has been a regular Fanatec GT Europe competitor during the past decade. His most recent start was at Spa in 2021, when he lined up for Kessel Racing.

“We are really happy to be back in this championship, which represents the top level for the GT3 category and will give us the opportunity to face the fastest drivers in the world," said team owner Ronnie Kessel.

"We are still open to the possibility of a second entry that would empower our line-up, but this chance is still to be confirmed. It is certain that we will give our best as always. Let’s push!”

Kessel Racing is the first Ferrari squad to officially confirm its 2024 line-up. The Swiss outfit will be at Circuit Paul Ricard for the pre-season Prologue on 5/6 March, followed by the opening Endurance Cup race at the same venue on 5–7 April.
