Mattia Drudi kept Tresor Orange1 at the front of the order in this morning's Qualifying session at Hockenheim by taking pole position aboard the #40 Audi.
After securing a commanding win in yesterday's opening contest, the combination of Drudi and Ricardo Feller is well placed to complete a clean sweep of the weekend this afternoon. The Italian's 1m37.195s lap was 0.087s quicker than Patric Niederhauser, who ensured an all-Audi front row aboard the #25 Saintéloc Junior Team entry.
Championship leader Raffaele Marciello was third in the #88 Akkodis ASP Mercedes-AMG, with the impressive Thierry Vermeulen taking fourth spot in the #69 Emil Frey Racing Ferrari. Row three will consist of the #54 Dinamic GT Porsche and the #11 Comtoyou Racing Audi, while row four is a family affair with the #46 Team WRT BMW alongside the sister #32 machine.
Alberto Di Folco qualified ninth overall to secure Gold Cup pole in the #9 Boutsen VDS Audi. He will start three places clear of yesterday's winner, the #30 Team WRT BMW. In the Silver Cup, Maximilian Paul was 11th overall and earned class pole in the #65 Lamborghini, two places ahead of the #77 HRT Mercedes-AMG.
In the Bronze Cup, Reema Juffali was among the stars of qualifying as she secured her maiden series pole at the wheel of the #81 Theeba Motorsport Mercedes-AMG. The Saudi racer shaded Ralf Bohn (#91 Herberth Motorsport Porsche) by 0.041s to take 27th overall on the 41-car grid.
