Garage 59 led a McLaren one-two in this morning's Bronze Test at Circuit Paul Ricard.
The 60-minute session kicked off a busy Friday at the track, with more than 20 eligible cars putting laps on the board. Miguel Ramos posted a best time of 1m55.829s at the wheel of the #188 Garage 59 entry, 0.116s faster than Jonathan Hui in the sister Sky Tempesta Racing machine.
Alex Malyakhin was third in the #911 Pure Rxcing Porsche, while Hubert Haupt posted the fourth-best time at the wheel of the #79 HRT Mercedes-AMG. The #52 AF Corse Ferrari was next courtesy of Louis Machiels, making it four manufacturers in the top-five.
A total of 27 cars participated, 26 of which set representative lap times. The exception was the #33 Bullitt Racing Aston Martin, with the Spanish team using the session as a shakedown after recently rebuilding its car. Though not officially part of the Bronze Test, the #11 Comtoyou Racing Audi and the #46 Team WRT BMW were also permitted to run.
The full 57-car field will be on-track at 14:35 CEST for Free Practice, while Pre-Qualifying runs this evening at 19:50. The competitive action takes place tomorrow, with Qualifying at 11:00 and the six-hour contest at 18:00. All of Saturday's action will be streamed live on the Fantaec GT Europe Facebook page and on the GT World YouTube channel.
