Saintéloc Junior Team led the way in Friday's afternoon's Bronze Test, which marked the first official session of the weekend for Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS.
Cesar Gazeau posted a 1m38.176s at the wheel of the #26 Audi to edge the #911 Herberth Motorsport Porsche of Ralf Bohn by 0.088s. Gazeau was one of several Silver-rated drivers who had not previously competed at Hockenheim and were therefore able to contest the Bronze Test.
Another of those was teenager Lorenzo Patrese, who placed third at the wheel of the #11 Tresor by Car Collection Audi. He was followed by Miguel Ramos (#188 Garage 59 McLaren), while Brendan Iribe completed the top-five with his #7 Inception Racing McLaren.
A total of 20 cars contested the session, which was stopped briefly during the latter stages when Sam De Haan (#77 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini) made contact with the barriers. The full field will be on-track tomorrow morning at 09:45 CEST for Free Practice, followed at 14:05 by Pre-Qualifying. The main qualifying session takes place at 09:45 on Sunday morning while this weekend's three-hour race kicks off at 15:00. As ever, the action will air in English, German, French and Italian on the GTWorld YouTube channel.
