Yesterday’s Qualifying Race winners Cesar Ramos and Laurens Vanthoor also dominated this morning’s warm-up, the final twenty minutes of preparations for the main race this afternoon, at 14.15 CET.
On a damp Nogaro track all drivers lapped cautiously at first, but once the French asphalt showed a clear dry line, lap times quickly improved. Ramos was the first to go under 1’30 and the #1 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT Audi was only briefly pushed to second when Maximilian Buhk in the #84 HTP Motorsport Mercedes improved. Laurens Vanthoor quickly regained top spot however and stayed there until the end of the incident-free session. Daniel Lloyd in the #61 Bhaitech McLaren came to within 0.057 of the Belgian’s time, with Buhk in third.
