The new BMW M4 GT3 will be on-track at Circuit Spa-Francorchamps next week (22-23 June) for the official TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa test days.
Factory drivers Augusto Farfus, Marco Wittmann and Nick Yelloly will share the wheel of the hotly-anticipated machine. The car is currently in development ahead of a full competitive programme in 2022, which is set to include a presence in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS and at the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa.
“It is fantastic to have been given the opportunity to take part in the tests at Spa-Francorchamps with our new BMW M4 GT3,” commented Mike Krack, Head of BMW M Motorsport.
“Like the Nordschleife, this circuit has its own particular features, making it an optimal and very demanding test facility for us in the final stage of development of our car. The days at Spa will also be used to prepare for the race debut of the BMW M4 GT3, which we are all excited about."
With 24 overall victories to its name, BMW is by far the most successful brand in TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa history. The Bavarian marque is set to be represented by at least three of its outgoing M6 GT3 models at this season's twice-around-the-clock classic, which takes place on 29 July-1 August.
The 2021 test days will run on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week and will see this year's hopefuls logging valuable laps at the Belgian venue. Further news on the participants and a full timetable will be confirmed shortly.
