Maximum grid capacity for Monza - 60 cars

The “Blancpain” as it commonly said in the paddock has become a key focal point of the motorsport calendar liked by all the teams, drivers and the most prestigious manufacturers.

The calendar will offer a trio of three-hour races (Monza, Paul Ricard and Silverstone), the famous 1000 km race at the Nurburgring, but the real highlight of the season will once again be the Total 24 Hours of Spa, where even more cars than those appearing at Monza next weekend will join.

Further details on the entries for Monza will be issued very shortly.

“The Blancpain Endurance Series has been a huge success story ever since its inaugural year in 2011. Large grids, close racing and multiple brand winners is a very sound basis for any series, especially so for one that has just a single class of car – GT3. This year we have gone up several levels again with 60 cars set to start the season at Monza next weekend. New teams and drivers have joined us for what promises to be a truly exceptional season of racing.

“We are obviously delighted with the continued support, enthusiasm and dedication of our friends at Blancpain, one of the world’s most esteemed and respected watch manufacturers.”

“Pirelli joins us as official tyre supplier and partner in 2013. They were impressed with the Blancpain Endurance Series and what it represents, so they wanted to be part of the action. This indicates a very healthy series going forward in a progressive and dynamic way as it continues to be the global benchmark in both quality and quantity in GT3 racing.”

Blancpain - Over 275 years of tradition in motion

Founded in 1735 by Jehan-Jacques Blancpain, the watch brand bearing his name is the oldest in the world. Blancpain is currently engaged to the renewal of mechanical watchmaking and to passing on exceptional expertise from one generation to the next through constant investment in human resources, production facilities and research. This approach is its strength and the expression of our long-term vision, even though it goes against the tide of a certain tendency to seek immediate profit.

From the creation of components through to watch design, Blancpain is distinguished by its ability to develop exceptional movements. Over the past seven years, the Manufacture has indeed developed no less than 26 new calibres.

Through its various models, Blancpain preserves its heritage of precision and elegance, while also displaying an innovative and occasionally provocative spirit. Its range encompasses the sportive L-evolution line, the legendary Fifty Fathoms diver’s watch, as well as the classic Villeret collection, the high complication from Le Brassus collection and the feminine Women models.
