The #99 ROWE Racing BMW M6 GT3 led the 70th edition Total 24 Hours of Spa with seven hours to run at the Belgian endurance classic.
The car was in the hands of Alexander Sims at a little after 9am local time, holding a lead of almost 10 seconds over the #25 Audi Sport Team Sainteloc machine of Markus Winkelhock. Maro Engel held P3 in his #4 Black Falcon Mercedes.
The #34 Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW, which had led during the night and early morning, had slipped to sixth spot after taking its mandatory technical pit stop.
The #42 Strakka Mercedes remained at the head of the Pro-Am field, while the #12 Ombra Racing Lamborghini and #77 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini did likewise in Silver Cup and Am Cup respectively. In Groupe National, the #67 GDL Racing Lamborghini held on to P1 despite a collision with the #62 R-Motorsport Aston Martin.
